Thought it was a pretty awesome setlist. Only qualms I have is one too many Daisy songs (four of them), and Brothers instead of 1996. Brothers was still fantastic. What a great fucking show. Don't remember the exact order of the songs but this is what I remember being played... Tautou Sic Transit Okay I Believe You The Quiet Things (during the encore) Play Crack The Sky (during the encore) Brothers Sowing Season Millstone Jesus Degausser Limousine Luca You Won't Know (encore final song) At The Bottom Gasoline Sink Noro I Am a Nightmare Guess it would have been nice to get at least one YFW song on there, probably would swap out one of At The Bottom/Gasoline/Sink
I've always been a very casual Brand New fan, but last night totally won me over. Both bands killed it, the venue was perfect, and seeing such a massive crowd completely enthralled and engaged was just a blast to be a part of.
I was so happy they played so many Daisy songs. Those song rip live. Wish I could've seen Vices too. Oh well, can't win 'em all.
Saw them in Columbus last night. They came out and played the first four Deja songs in a row. I thought for a moment they were going to play Deja all the way through but after Tommy Gun they played Mixtape. Here's the set. Seemed pretty different than some of the other sets on the tour. Was anyone upset that they got trolled into believing they'd get a Deja set? Seems like the band tried to avoid some disappointment that might have been caused by playing Mixtape right after Tommy Gun.
They've done that a lot before. They also have started with 3 or 4 in a row from Daisy quite a few times as well.
Usually the songs aren't in album order, though. I remember some fans being PISSED one of the first times they played Deja songs in album order and didn't follow through.
one of the things I love about Brand New is how much they switch up their set list. I saw them 3 shows in a row on this tour and none of the set lists were the same.
Yeah i'll be checking them out in both Dallas and Austin this weekend, and I'm hoping they'll mix it up a little bit between nights.
Same. I'm a little worried about how the bands will sound though, since it's Verizon Theater's first outdoor show.
Yeah, it should be interesting. I'm a little worried about how it smoothly it will be for getting people into the venue. I'm going mostly for Modest Mouse and I'm wondering how early I should get there to guarantee that I get inside and get a good spot before they hit the stage. Heard stories of other venues not getting people inside before the show started even though they were lined up well before the doors even opened.
Yep, happened at Red Rocks. If you wanna see the opening band get there at least an hour before the show starts.
There's a two hour window between doors and MM, but I'm guessing it's gonna go south when everyone decides to show up at 7PM and the line is huge.
Yeah. I'm debating on getting there even before 5:30 when doors open but don't really want to have to stand in the 100 degree heat for 2 hours just waiting, but oh well...
