Haha, ironically, that's my last show in Atlanta for the remainder of the year as of right now. Hoping to make the Yellowcard Farewell Tour, though. But definitely!
ok I have posted about this in the other thread now so sorry if people are getting sick of me but... I caught 3 shows and for BOTH bands all 3 shows had a different set list. I thought that was pretty cool to be honest. Of course for brand new it was only subtle differences (can't speak much for MM since my boyfriend is the fan not me) I posted a few videos in the BN thread and I have a lot more on my boyfriends phone if anyone is interested. I too cried when they put up the 2000-2018 graphic and also when during play crack the sky Jesse said "about 2 more years" I just bawled.
So some friends have backed out and I have one GA West and one GA East ticket for the MSG show on Thursday if anyone is interested. I paid $100 each so would like to try to recoup that but PM me and maybe we can work something out. I live in Brooklyn and work in Manhattan so we can either meet at the show or before.
Anyone else going to the Merriweather show? I'm so excited for BN's set now that 1996 has come out. And I got an email from the 9:30 club fan group that I have "VIP" plus one for the show. I guess it's some area towards the back. I most likely won't use it at all, but still pretty cool!
I'm going! I'm about ten minutes from the venue right now actually (I work in Laurel but live in White Marsh). Heading there straight from work at 5.
Well if you happen to make the gate crashers come say hi at the front of the line. Otherwise I doubt I will catch you!
Yep, but mine is in hand and way cheaper! It is absolutely gorgeous as well. Lots of little surprises in the packaging.
Also, sometimes I feel like BN reads my posts, because we got Mene, 1996, AND I Am A Nightmare. Everything I asked for and it all sounded so great. I just wish they had closed, or still had a longer set. MM got about 20 minutes longer for theirs and played a lot of really cool choices. Both bands seemed to play longer sets than some I've seen.
I can try to get one tomorrow. The biggest thing is that when you open it up that face is a cut out with a message behind it, and the drawing itself is way more detailed on the sleeve.
Hell of a show last night. Brand New was good but by the time Modest Mouse came on, the lawn became a PARTY!
I hope people realize what a big deal it is for Brand New to be headlining Madison Square Garden. This show is going to be insane, it's all I've been looking forward to for a week!
The 3 Demos, Reworked 10" is now on sale for $12 and there is also a Mene 7" for $6... plus shipping! Someone else mentioned they have been selling the Demos at these shows. What about the Mene 7"?
Good idea. I just got my I Am A Nightmare 12" in the mail this week. I could have bought it at the Chicago show 2 weeks ago and saved on shipping.
