I'll be at this too, even though the venue is crazy weird because it's just the field outside of Verizon Theater
Yeah, that's super strange. I don't know how it's gonna work, but it should be interesting. Supposedly it's the first time they've done a show there, so...
Doors for the Chicago show open at 6 and Brand New plays first at 7:15. So glad it's on a Saturday so I don't have to rush downtown after work on a Friday again.
Same, I'm seeing it Friday. This is probably the earliest on a tour I've ever been for anyone! Hoping to hear all about it before then.
Had my fingers crossed for 70x7, but I should have known better. Modest Mouse setlist is pretty solid.
I'm sure both of these setlists will change a few times over the next few weeks too. As of right now I'm really stoked that they are keeping Millstone on the setlist since they took it out for a few of the Canadian dates and I'm really hoping this time around I finally get to hear either SoCo or Play Crack The Sky (I've seen them 6 times and they've had to cut one of them each of those times)
Not surprised by the lack of YFW but they play The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows so I can't complain!
The appearance of "Float On" in any Modest Mouse set is usually an indicator of whether Isaac Brock is in a good mood or not
It's not always guaranteed. They tend to usually bust it out for bigger/festival type shows but for their own mid-size headlining dates they can go without it. I don't think the fanbase cares too much at this point. Also, if you DO like that song, I highly recommend their last two records. They're a bit more accessible and have less of the bark-style singing which permeates their earlier records.
