    Well, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy

I was gonna hold off on listening to any new stuff until the album actually came out, but I couldn’t resist. This one rules

  6. Legitimately maybe their best song since We Were Dead, and I love the last two records lol

been listening to so much of their music lately after not really jamming them the last few years. from 96-00 they seriously were just unstoppable. i like all their albums outside of the golden casket but goddamn the three album run where they were just a three piece and all the surrounding eps and comps was such a special display of what just three people could come up with. tons of songs i adore on the following albums too ofc

  14. I would extend that run to Good News, personally

I listened to Good News for what I believe was the first time a few days ago and I loved it. Before that, I only ever listened to The Moon & Antarctica and The Lonesome Crowded West, both albums I love so I’m not sure why I never really gave anything else a try.

i didnt throw good news in because it isnt a isaac / eric / jeremiah album and i was specifically talking about the chemistry between those three members and the way they explored that over the albums beforehand. it still rips tho lol i just picked it and wwd up on cd. so many great tunes, one chance and bury me with it been stickin to me a lot

i like we were dead even more, takes all the best parts about good news and tightens them while dropping all the worst parts. i think it might be their most consistent tracklist even if i prefer long drive through moon

also no ones first is a masterclass ep

Definitely been on a MM kick lately to avoid overplaying the singles before the album release. Picking Dragon's Pockets is so damn good IMO. The new song give me M&A vibes. Anyway, listened to The Golden Casket yesterday and still don't get the hate for that album. It's not perfect but it has a lot of good stuff on it.
I have high hopes that this will be their best album in 2 decades.

I'm waiting until I hear the album to decide.

is it the same for you? Prestigious

It's a little sad when you remember that "best album in 2 decades" means it would be better than only 3 albums

I know lol. I had to look back and see when "We Were Dead" came out to come up with "2 decades" lol. I don't believe you they will top M&A, LCW, or Good News, but it's possible to top "We Were Dead."
