I like this a lot so far but I think the hype might have been a LITTLE exaggerated. This is not going to convert anyone who wasn't already a fan.

Fair game to download if I already pre-ordered?

Please be kind. Like actually kind though.

The albums incredible. They've improved as musicians and vocalists on so many levels. Every track had something that stood out to me.

  11. On my first listen now. I don't really like "The Wedding SInger," but I still love that title track

Wanna hold our for the vinyl but I'll probably be in here tomorrow talking about how much I love the record

  13. Hmmm...I really admire the direction of this -- it's faster, more raw -- but I just don't know if it's all...there. I enjoy a good portion of the album, but I think some of the vocals are actually quite worse, and I miss a bit of the variety that YGMIA had. This will almost certainly end up growing on me though and my opinion will do a 180

"Apple Cider, I Don't Mind" and "Just Another Face" rip hard. I enjoyed "Breathing in Stereo," too

I feel like I enjoy the first half more (and the closer), and "Wedding Singer" is so damn catchy. Stuck in my head all day.

    Great record.

Well, that's a bummer. People really made it sound otherwise

  16. Yeah, I don't really see this swaying anyone's opinion, but who knows. It's short and definitely still worth the listen imo

I was surprised enough that @Jason Tate said he likes some stuff on this

It's pretty amazing what these guys can pack into a two minute or less song. I know they're not the only band who can do it, but I'm really surprised how much I'm playing these short tracks. I still need the lyrics in front of me, but so far this seems like a huge lyrical progression for the band, too.

There are more songs under 2 minutes long on Holy ghost than the other 2 LPs combined. Was hoping for some longer tracks, but we'll see how jam packed they are.

It definitely goes by fast, but it's a ripper. Every song goes hard, it feels very urgent to me. Which I think is fitting, considering it was written during basically a life or death scenario.

Note To Self is a jam. When Jake starts yelling it gets me pumped.
