Confirmed Bren. Their first interview since 2017. Wowwwww

 

Anyone else listen? I'm 30 minutes into it. Really nice to hear Bren again. So far hasn't really gotten into anything except that for the last year they are starting to fall back in love with music which is cool. Said their grandmother passed a couple years ago and that grief stuck with them for a year. Now getting into their "firsts"

EDIT 1: Band has been digging through archives looking for demos and other things that they could release that fans would enjoy.

 

At this point, I think it’s time we stop saying “if” a reunion were to happen and start saying “when” the reunion will happen. I really do think they will play shows at this point next year but it’s really just a matter of when it’ll be announced. Way too many context clues and activity to not be leading to something.

 

Great listen really glad Bren is doing well. Would love to see them again

 

Jeremy didn't ask them about any reunion type things but if nothing else is sounds like Bren is writing material and demoing it so if it isn't MoBo it will at least be something. They did definitely throw themselves under the bus for how hard they were to deal with towards the end of MoBo and hard it was on the entire band.

 

I really do think we are gonna get some MoBo shows next year

 

My small source of insider info has also told me it is a matter of "when" not "if"

 

The Patreon bonus episode Jeremy asked them about the recent pics of Bren being in Ian’s studio. They said that when they started writing new stuff they sent it to Ian and Ian said to just come in and demo them out and see how it sounds. So just fucking around.

And…. also said they recently did some covers for a thing they are doing with friends!

 

Really enjoyed that listen. Realized I don’t own sports, going to change that now.

 

Love ethical band reunion speculation.

Did a discography run through last week. Their blend of lyrical focus and musical focus is so perfect. It’s not too simple and riding on punchy lyrics and it’s not too ornate riding on emo noodling instrumentals. Everything is just right.

 

I have that uk variant that they talked about. Haha

The "30th anniversary ultimate edition" release + interview + Instagram posts do seem to be the band's way of building towards an announcement

 

10th anniversary for this is only 6 months away. Seems crazy. Wonder if they will do an anniversary thing for it as well?
