Mock Orange is an indie rock band from Evansville, Indiana, USA.

They just announced their upcoming 6th album, Put The Kid On The Sleepy Horse. This comes 5 years after their last release, Disguised As Ghosts, so it's kind of a big deal.

I'm so hyped for this. Nines & Sixes and The Record Play are my two favourite releases by them, but I'm really enjoying the new songs and have high hopes for this album.

I love Record Play, First EP, and MINB. There's something about that stretch in their discography that gets me every time.

This band is immensely underrated. I think a lot of people here would like them if they heard them. Give these guys some front-page love!

Only half way through the first song and it's already made me super happy.

    Love this band so much.

Album does not disappoint. Exactly what I wanted from at this point in their evolution.

I played it all day in the car yesterday. Still getting used to a couple tracks. I'm Leaving remains my favorite.

Topshelf sent out my order today in case anyone else was waiting for theirs.

Who am I kidding? No one else on Chorus pre-ordered this lol.

Can't quite get into this new album. In fact, Disguised as Ghosts is the only thing I've ever enjoyed by them, and seemingly everyone else hated it, so maybe I just don't like this band.

DAG isn't my favorite but it's a good album. Plenty of fantastic songs on it.

Possibly — you know how they are. Everything is very deliberate and in slow motion. They probably won't leave the midwest unless there's like a festival or something they could viably anchor some more substantial touring around. They already took a lot of time away from life and work and family to do their Japanese tour (they're a lot bigger over there) so we'll see. Basically, nothing as far as I know, but in speaking with them, they're not averse to doing anything.
