Yeah Ank kinda knew his back was always against the wall with the UFC. They punished him hard for his boring fight with Jan. I think he knew if he pulled out of the Poatan rematch that they would probably be like “okay vacate immediately and you’re not getting another shot” so he fought injured…and got KOed anyway lol. So not surprised they were ready to move on from him even though he’s a beast. Khamzat is not the move though. Unless you want two titles being defended once every two years.
Dude beat one guy who wasn’t even a top contender after losing 3 in a row and thinks he deserves the world. He was lucky to even be offered DDP and that fight would have definitely been meaningful lol
That’s the best card since the new deal by far. Pretty much all bangers or fights that have significance in the rankings.

I mean the fight makes sense given Tom’s eye injury, Jones hip injury and HW being complete ass. However, it isn’t really that exciting and shows how shallow the HW division is.
Yeah this is one time I don’t mind it. Heavyweight has been a disaster ever since the DC and Stipe trilogy began. They’ve squandered so many good match ups since then. It’s to the point that there’s no one I even care to see fight for the title if Tom is out. Might as well give the shot to the guy who’s been carrying the UFC in terms of excitement.
