I was so stunned by Tex being dropped by the left that I completely missed him using the cage to get back up lol. Makes a lot more sense after watching it back.
Crazy how that card last night had six finishes in a row followed by eight decisions in a row. I fell asleep and didn’t make it through lol. I really wish I ever bet on UFC events because I saw D-Rod was a +425 underdog at one time and almost jumped on it.
I just said this weekend that this match up would be a worthy Light Heavyweight BMF fight. So glad to see it made regardless.
I think that was anyone’s fight in the 5th but Rob was out of gas. Pretty incredible fight though! Rob almost had him finished at one point but I think RDR was grabbing his gloves (don’t think it was intentional and it probably didn’t matter in the long run so oh well)
WWE announced a partnership with ESPN where all of their PPVs will be streamed on a new platform for $30/month It would not shock me if the UFC takes this route too when they are ready to announce the new media deal.
Huge deal; will open up the sport to a much bigger pool of people. Should really help grow Paramount+ as well
I'm wondering how this will impact the schedule (if at all). Because if there is no PPV deal that they are having to meet, they won't HAVE to have title fights saved for specific events. It might help them balance things out with bigger fights so that maybe we won't have quite so many cards that are completely top heavy.
