That fight was way better than anyone expected. Respect to both Belal and JDM. Kind of bummed Islam/Topuria won’t happen, but excited to see what Islam can do at 170.

 

Islam said he plans on taking the 170 title and then coming back to fight the winner of Olivera/Topuria so hopefully we'll still get that fight.

 

Really blows that Aldo could have easily come back from his first retirement to go 3-0 but instead dropped two decisions that he easily could have gone his way with a couple of adjustments. Sort of an unfair way for him to go out.

 

title fights should bang but a little underwhelming for IFW

 

This is a great card tbh but this is like what the cards used to be like all the time lol. This being the card of the year sort of shows you where things are at, but oh well.

I wonder how quickly Islam moving up will mess up things at Welterweight (probably my favorite division at the moment). You have Shavkat waiting for a title shot with Brady and Garry waiting right there. And that’s not even considering Belal or Leon any time soon.

IFW card is good, but I can’t help but be disappointed that we don’t get Islam/Topuria.

 

Patchy would be a great get for the UFC, definitely hope that happens

Rumor is Chito pulled out of the Bautista fight and Patchy will step in to make his debut.

 

Patchy should starch Batista if true. A good showcase for him to face the winner of the main event.

 

Why does Justin freakin Tafa keep getting main card spots on ppv? lol

 

I assume that bout order is wrong. No way he should be on the main. Should be on the early prelims if anything lol

Haven't even looked into the numbers or traffic, but some of the live events for Netflix have been a disaster (Tyson vs. Paul, mainly). Buffering, freezing, etc. I would hate for that to be a common occurrence for UFC events, but maybe if PPV's are held elsewhere there won't even be enough traffic to cause issues anyway.

 

Tyson/Paul was a disaster but the NFL Xmas Day games went great if my memory is correct

 

According to Helwani, Jones asked for a lot of money to fight Tom assuming they wouldn’t put it up

they ended up meeting the number and he still said no thanks


Strip the fucking idiot and let’s move on
