Not too stoked on Goldberg (or Mauro to an extent), it was such a predictable signing that it doesn't do much for me. I'm glad Jimmy Smith is still there, he's a good one in my opinion.
I legit cannot believe this is actually happening. I was pretty insistent it wouldn't go down. Gotta eat my words. That said, I will not be watching. Floyd is not gonna get a dime from me.
Yeah, I think I'm gonna stay away entirely. I will follow along on twitter. But I have such low expectations haha. Kudos to McGregor for getting this done and grabbing a nice payday for himself.
But you know what? McGregor loses even if he wins. If he gets a win by scorecards... "Yeah but he couldn't knock him out, and Floyd is so much older now. Would never happen in his prime." If he knocks him out... "All luck, Floyd just had a bad run" or "Floyd hasn't fought in so long. He didn't have enough training time." The man took the fight, and if he loses there is no more shit talking McGregor. Favor is to Mayweather 25-1, so there is nothing else he can say or do except win. No excuses. Edit: I hope McGregor knocks his head off.
don't care for either one, but i hope mcgregor KOs him plz also definitely won't purchase, but will go to a bar to watch it, haha.
As long as Conor doesn't get knocked out in the first minute, he continues to build is legacy as someone who is unwilling to simply be the best in his weight class, but instead wants to push himself to new challenges and new disciplines. Floyd meanwhile cannot really win. Either he beats an amateur boxer or loses. Neither elevates him. Except they'll both make bank and win in that regard.
Yeah, it is what it is. There are going to be excuses on either side. It's a weird, over-hyped fight that might turn out to be super boring but it's going to be one of the biggest drawing fights ever so oh well.
Not true at all. People look at McGregor as the best in MMA right now, and he is on top. A decision loss will deflate all of that. Either way, no way Mayweather wins via KO.
There's no rational world where a man with zero amateur or professional boxing experience losing via decision to the greatest boxer of (at the very least) a generation is "deflating."
