Wow. Cannot believe this tourney found a way to drag on lol. I’m not sure if I missed something, but that just seemed like a poor reffing job IMO. Both guys gestured that they had collided heads so there should have been a pause or something. Or is that even allowed? I guess I don’t know the rule.

Regardless of how the reffing was, that cut was nasty and would have stopped the fight. That was super unfortunate for Corey since he was winning the fight.

I mean if it was the end of the third I still think it’s a no contest since it didn’t enter the 4th? Either way we would have been getting a rematch given the finish.

 

Unless there's some adjustments, that rematch has Corey by UD written all over it

 

Yep. He got takedowns way easier than I thought he would. Was a fun fight while it lasted though.

I can see why people hate Mauro, but I’ve always found him to be endearing lol haven’t watched much Bellator recently but holy shit the Josh Thomson-Big John First take type debate stuff is garbage.

Sucked for Anderson, just another reason why they should dump these tournaments.

Announce crew sucks and should replaced, Big John is the worst though. Whoever thought a ref would be a good color guy is bananas. I hate to side with the UFC on anything, but they're on to something making the walkouts boring haha.

 

I had Mckee 3-2 but it’s not controversial at all that Pitbull won. 49-46 however is insane lol

 

I couldn’t help but to crack up while McKee’s hype man was rapping during his walkout. All I could hear were boos. Definitely not what they wanted on the broadcast haha but I felt for that crowd at that point. So much stalling.

 

Is there any reason be interested in any fight other than the main event today?

 

Not really. I have the fights on my 2nd TV while I watch basketball. These fight night cards are super thin nowadays. Next weeks is pretty meh too. Im honestly getting bored of the Apex. Hoping they can get back to doing more fight nights in front of crowds soon.

 

I don’t think I’ll even watch the main event next week. I can’t stand Andrade.

Apex events are so stale. Funny how Dana was so proud to be the first sport back yet they’re the last to return to normal. Purely because of the money they make by doing it at the Apex.

 

Yeah there’s also just too many cards. I assume it’s part of their agreement with ESPN. I’m all for giving new guys spots but tonight’s card is full of people I’ve never heard of. You could have easily made next weeks main event the co main for tonight and had one card. They should save the apex for these unknowns and have fight nights there for lesser known fighters maybe on weekday nights. Get rid of these super thin fight nights and have more stacked fight nights maybe 1-2 times a month around the US instead of having a card every weekend at the apex.

 

That’s it right? Remember when Contender Series first started and how they only gave out a few contracts? Now it’s freakin Oprah lol

 

Yeah now the fight cards are half full of contender series guys. Maybe 10 percent of those guys are actually worth watching. I’m always down to watch MMA, but not when it’s guys that wouldn’t be UFC caliber 5 years ago.
