Some of these awards are bittersweet. Like, it's almost as if Jacare and Nunes were probably ineligible for "Submission of the Year" because they're so good (unless they pulled off some sort of never-before-seen submission like Mighty Mouse). Yet we readily give out "Submission of the Year" to anyone who submits them. haha.

It's kind of like when Gonzaga KO'ed Crocop via headkick. It was a great KO on its own, but people praise it as one of the greatest of all time simply because that was Crocop's signature move pulled off by a grappling specialist. If Crocop got him with the exact same knockout, no one would remember it. I understand it, but it's still kind of a bummer for the person on the other end.

 

I'm so back and forth on Ngannou and Gane, which is weird because Francis just walks through everyone these days but idk here. Gane is very good and I think I can see him pulling it off. gonna be a fun one

 

Honestly I just wanna see Ngannou knock everyone out for the foreseeable future lol. Excited for that fight.
