This whole situation is so stupid. I’m so excited for the fight though. I was telling someone at work that I think this fight will be kinda weird… didn’t expect it to be this weird before the thing even started though.

I wish I didn’t have to watch from my phone at a wedding

 

If I'm Vettori, I wouldn't have accepted this on a few days notice.

Pudzian reminds me of Shane Carwin (anyone here remember him?); just built like a tank, and had fists of concrete. If you survive the first round with these guys though, they're usually totally gassed

I feel like he's gonna get fucked up but the added weight also makes me think he could be doing all this for an advantage, which may well win him the fight

So I’m curious regarding Vettori getting 20% of Costa’s purse. Is that just 20% of his show? What if Costa wins? What if he gets a performance bonus?

 

i met Shane Carwin a few months before his fight with Brock. Dude was a giant and had the biggest hands I’ve ever seen

 

Pretty sure he still follows me on Twitter from like 12 years ago. I used to interact with him a ton on there back when he only had like 3k followers Haha. Pretty cool guy.

Yeah he has to; his frame is built for this class, and he showed tonight he can sustain a fighting pace through 5 rounds with it

 

I’m pretty astounded that he was performing that well late into the fight. But maybe that’s just because he wasn’t drained from a weight cut.

 

Yeah the announcers talked about how not having to do a weight cut, for either fighter, was a big bonus when it comes to stamina for the whole fight

 

Caught up with the card this morning and wow. I don’t really care for Costa or Vettori but that was definitely my favorite fight from either guy. Really thought Costa was going down early in the first but he rallied and delivered. Hope he stays at LHW.
