Truly never was hyped on Kelvin outside of his bout with Adesanya which, at the time I think surprised a lot of people. The Bisping fight shouldn’t have happened and since the Adesanya fight he’s really just been coasting. Cannonier has the much more impressive story but I ain’t forget that QAnon shit.

I had almost completely forgotten about Khamzat but he's always in a fun fight

 

I’ve had a few thoughts running as of late.

I don’t think we see Conor v Poirier 4 this year though we know it will happen. If we’re lucky, Oliveira vs Poirier happens before the end of the year, or likely the last big fight of the year in December.

I’m hoping Ngannou vs Gane is also happening around the same time, maybe on the same card somewhere near December.

I know Chandler got finished last outing but I don’t think he thought Oliveira had hands to stand with him and was confident after the Hooker fight. If he fights Gaejthe, I think he tries to/manages to clinch and grapple enough to outland him and take a decision. Gaejthe has been sitting the longest he has ever for a fight and think he’ll come back fighting a bit safer and more composed which would work in Chandler’s favor. Fight could totally not happen thanks to both these dweebs being anti-vaxx.

Women’s ranks are kind of at a low hum. Namajunas vs Weili 2 would excite me most, but many don’t think Weili is deserving though I do. Joanna has been sitting since COVID. Karolina has been headed downhill for quite a few fights and is likely to be cut from the roster sadly. Amanda has no real substantial challengers, and neither does Valentina despite being booked against Murphy who she’s gonna annihilate. The two of them fighting one more time would be awesome but unlikely.

For set fights, 266 has a bunch of matchups that are really left field with no significant bad blood so that whole card excites me. Would like to see Ortega take the title and then get Holloway vs Ortega 2 next year. Don’t miss Hooker and Moraes both fighting on the prelims too.

I expect Till to finish Brunson. Said Nurmagomedov vs Jack Shore is great. Santos definitely finishes Walker if he tries anything flashy. If not, he could take points match, but I think Santos is a problem for Walker.

267 is the best looking card but the most hyped/stacked cards tend to either underwhelm or not wind up fully happening as is.

Aljo vs Yan 2 is on the top of my list for exciting fights. I am probably the only person who doesn’t think Aljo was getting whooped the whole fight, and in fact would say the first two rounds looked pretty great until he gassed. I think Jan retains, but Glover taking the belt would be crazy and awesome.

Makhachev definitely destroys RDA.

Jingliang vs Chimaev: awesome.
Oezdemir vs Ankalaev: awesome.
Holloway vs Rodriguez: awesome.

For some reason I see something happening with Covington and Usman and that match gets scrapped. I wanna be wrong.
