That Mousasi post led me down a rabbit hole checking out Bellator's roster... It's wild that out of their current lineup of men's champions, Nemkov is the only one with a single title defense in their current run.
I love Mousasi, and love this. I think he’s still one of the biggest losses for the UFC, but it’s also good for the sport that some of the best aren’t all under the same roof. If they market him right and pay him well, Mckee could be a key piece in getting Bellator to that next level. The hype behind him right now is real.
Speaking of Bellator, looks like Yoel is slated to fight Phil Davis. That sounds like a great matchup in theory, but I feel like that has a real strong chance of being a snoozefest... Davis has a tendency to coast a lot of times, and Romero can sometimes sit and wait for people who won't engage. Or hopefully I'm wrong and they go out there and slug it out.
I would hope Yoel wants to turn in a good performance to curb that narrative about him but I guess we'll see
Eh, it's just a stylistic thing. I personally don't view him as a boring fighter because he's turned in some classics over the years....but he does like to sit and wait sometimes (to his own detriment).
I've been wanting someone to wrestle Yoel for a while now, and I'm sure Phil's going to try. I also think it's possible old Yoel is gone forever, but we'll see.
Really thought they'd set up O'Malley v Faber, but I'm sure that's too expensive for them. I don't really like this fight for Frankie, winnable for sure, but not that exciting.
There’s a good chance Frankie takes him down and beats him for 3 rounds. Wouldn’t be the first time the old grappler stopped a young hype train
So dumb. Anderson fought most of his career at middleweight and has never weighed in at heavyweight levels. So with no due respect Tito, wtf are YOU talking bout. “I ain’t in here for no expedition” like somebody come get your mans.
I swear, he unintentionally speaks just like Ricky from Trailer Park Boys. Mostly correct until he decides to just make up his own grammar.
