We don't need a fourth fight, since I think it was obvious that Conor was gassed out and gonna lose. But it's gonna happen, and I'm absolutely gonna watch.

  5. Dustin just said they’re gonna fight again. Either in the octagon or on the sidewalk.

So yeah. 4th fight for sure.

Fourth fight didn’t take place in the UFC, but I’m still counting it

Crazy to think if Dustin beats Charles that Conor fights for the title despite being 1-3.

Kevin Clark was on Bill Simmon's podcast and was like "Conor is such a promoter he starting promoting the 4th fight when Rogan interviewed him! Haha wow!"

    Bruh :-|:-|:-|:-|:-|

He's a crazy piece of shit and very well could of been coked up the whole past week even during the fight who knows.

Between MMA media not stating the obvious (Conor is semi to completely washed) and casual observers thinking he promoted this thing like a genius, I'm ready to move on from the whole thing.

Putting aside the fact that he's just a shitty human, it's amazing to me how his fans will never admit that hes washed up. I have a few friends who are so hyped like "this is amazing! Dustin's gonna win the title and then Conor will become the champ in their rematch! This is such an amazing story!" It reminds me of QAnon followers who thought that Trump was gonna be reinstated as president back in April.

Let's face facts. In the last three years he had four fights. He only won one of them, and that match up was a lay up for him. His body can't handle this shit anymore, which isn't anything shocking or unexpected for a fighter who's been doing it as long as him. Crazy how in denial his fans are about it.

I think there are a lot of factors at play with him, to be honest, so it's hard for me to say with certainty that he's "washed up".

He's never been the most durable guy, but I think inactivity got to him. And he has much less fire in him now that he's been at the top of the mountain and topped a Forbes list....

Mainly though, I think this is just what the guy looks like when you don't give him favorable matchups all the time. I'm not taking anything away from any of his wins because the guy's initial UFC run was absolutely incredible, but you can't help but to feel like they pushed him through the rankings giving him guys who had no ability to exploit his weakness on the ground (and others like Eddie and Nate seemed to have no interest, instead trying to prove a point on the feet). Once he ran into Khabib and Dustin 2.0, the mystique was gone.

He's probably slipping a bit from his prime, but I also think he's been exposed to some degree.

I do not like him as a person at all. Especially the post-fight comments were unbelievably terrible. And for sure inactivity has slowed him down in the striking department.

But I do recognize that Conor is one of very few guys who do not have their drive and determination to be on top broken. He’s been finished 4 times by some of the best, yet still comes back with the mindset that he’s the greatest and that’s huge for the fight game. The man folded his ankle and sat their holding it ready to keep fighting. Most would be mentally broken by that.

Unfortunate that the money and fame also drives his inexplicably bad personality to the forefront. I don’t look at it as him being washed up at 32. Outside of Cerrone the other fights he lost to were against the best of the best. Mid-tier lightweights would likely not look nearly as good in there with him as Khabib and Dustin did.

It was really something to see his rise and I was glad to be a UFC fan throughout that era. But if everyone just stops calling Conor as either the absolute best or absolute worst I think there would be a place for him to keep fighting. But I also recognize that if he’s not in contention for a title in some way, the man will probably just step away for good. Probably could’ve after Khabib but for whatever reason he still wants to be in there.

Now that this ordeal is over with at LW, things feel like they’re kinda sitting at a low hum right now for the UFC. It’s really the time for some newer guys to shine and have some big moments because we only have a few unsettled scores that don’t really move the needle much, like
    Namajunas vs Zhang 2
    and Sterling vs Yan 2

Outside of those, we’re sitting on some pretty solid champs who really could fight anybody they want. I feel like Gane vs Lewis needed the IT addition to give that division some weight to it because unless Stipe gets a rubber match, who really thinks either of them beats Ngannou? Jones taking another year has me completely over the excitement of that potential fight which will still probably not happen.

Feels like it’s been forever since Featherweight was exciting. Volk has been on the sidelines for an eternity. Max is of course still the biggest draw there, deservingly so. Moreno is in a division that doesn’t offer much. Nunes and Chevchenko are the only exciting challengers for each other. Usman is Usman. Not a single man I wanted to see him fight besides Wonderboy at this point.

So that leaves me with Adesanya vs Whittaker 2 and Blachowicz vs Prochazka as my next two most anticipated and neither have dates yet.
