I get needing something to headline a PPV. But Jesus, I have zero interest in that fight.

 

They never even did an interim for Stipe and he often went quite awhile without fighting.

 

I'm not sure exactly why they are going that route (not that interim belts even mean anything). Seems odd to make Francis wait on the sidelines for all that time, and then they move on when he's not able to defend his belt three/five months after he wins it.

 

That’s going to be such a boring fight and highly unnecessary to make it for an interim title.

Don’t get me wrong. Lewis deserves a title shot. And Gane was probably next in line after Lewis. But this is pointless.

 

Yeah the PPV isn’t going to sell well anyways. Nunes isn’t a huge draw and neither are Gane/Lewis. I don’t get why you sacrifice a title fight for a interim title fight only a month prior.

 

Also sacrificing two contenders is silly.

You’re wasting either Lewis or Gane against Francis in this scenario. When you could’ve had them both fight him potentially.

Gane/Francis is something I’d really like to see.

That’s laughable especially considering all the guys who said they would fight him on short notice. The UFC is afraid of him getting beat again lol

 

Have him fight one of the Paul brothers. The guy is already a fucking joke.

 

Outside of Burns/Thompson, this main card does nothing for me.

 

I honestly think the prelims are better than the main card lol
