I'd give a left nut to be called a freak athlete.
And there's plenty who I'm sure do work their butt off that I'd still cal that (lebron, usain bolt, sonny bill Williams)

I mean, I would argue that any champion is a combination of genetics and hard work. Any normal person would take that as a compliment instead of twisting it to be "racist". We've said the same "freak athlete" thing about Brock, GSP, Rumble, Lombard....even Rousey. You name it.

Like I said, the way he manipulates small things like that into being racist and negative distracts from his points that are actually legitimate. This whole "I'm the worst treated champion" thing he starts going on and on about when the UFC won't let him take super fights and revoked his "win" after the 205 fiasco gets old. It's gotten to the point where people don't want to consider his actual meaningful comments because he's spent so much time thus far crying and being entitled.

I hate to cite a comment, but I think this guy has it right. Woodley just hasn't provided/articulated any concrete examples.

I will also agree with that. During his interview, he had two anecdotes: one was how a photographer told him to lighten up in the comments and then later apologized to him, and another was how the UFC reached out to him to ask how they could remedy the situation... This was his "proof" that there was a problem. In reality, it just looks like people are trying to appease him because he is offended and we don't exactly know why. He never actually stated what these problems were.

I'm sure there are things he doesn't want to talk about, but come on. When one of your only examples of racism that you will publicly speak about is that Joe Rogan claims you have big muscles and tend to slow down, that's pretty weak.

PSA: Tonight's episode of Always Sunny is UFC themed. The previews have at least Dana, Cowboy, and Felder. Think Cub makes an appearance too.

It's like my two favorite things in life coming together.

Going Shevchenko, Cerrone, Ngannou and Caceres.

Although, I think the main could go either way. Cerrone has a real tricky one, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop this one. Rooting for an Arlovski return to form, but he gets hit and Ngannou is a house.

So a while back I made a post about how the UFC had trouble coming to agreement with the commission in Missouri, leading to a huge dry spell of UFC events in the state. Well, turns out the problem was primarily with Zuffa (allegedly) so now that there are new owners, we are finally getting a UFC in Kansas City in April. It will be my first one ever!!!

  8. Cerrone is gonna impress again and then hopefully be in the title contention talk.

I hope so, too. Masvidal might be on the same level with him on the feet, but I just don't think he keeps his foot on the gas enough. He's given away a few fights that he likely should have won because he kind of coasted.

The live shows are fun, if for nothing but the atmosphere. I don't know how big of a fan you are, but it's always fun to get there way early and drink ($9) beers.

If he wins maybe we get that Lawler fight for real. Don't think Maia will fight if it's not for a belt.

I've been to three Strikeforce events, a Bellator, and a few smaller shows, so I can only imagine how a UFC show is.

We used to do the ol' switcheroo during Strikeforce events. Usually a large group of us would go, so everyone would split the cost of two floor tickets and then buy upper-level seats for the rest. We would basically just keeps witching who used the floor seats all night so everyone got to be down there in the crowd at different parts of the night. I got to see Hendo KO Babalu from just a few seats back.

Nice arm bar there to finish it. That should be a fun fight with Nunes.

Didn't get to watch, but sounded awesome. Kind of indifferent towards Valentina but that was a great way to make some fans. I mainly just dislike Pena.

Side note: I am judging a local amateur card at the moment. Pretty cool.

  17. I've noticed that Jackson-Wink either has a spectacular night or a downright terrible night. There is absolutely no in between haha. You have 206 where all their fighters except for Kennedy won, then there's last night where practically every one of their fighters lost.

Just got through watching the main card. Masvidal put his foot on the gas, exactly what I criticized him for not doing. Good to see he's making an attempt to not give away any more decisions that he should have won. Been his problem since back in Strikeforce.

Also, I'm really hoping the Ngannou hype pans out. I think he could already hang with Stipe/JDS, but like all the heavyweights, I'm sure there is a bad style match up out there in Cain or Werdum or someone like that.

Was so happy for Masvidal. Been watching him since the street fight days haha.

Love Bermudez and Korean Zombie, figure Bermudez wins because the layoff has been so long for KZ, but who knows. Really the only fight on the card I'm interested in.

  21. White said Nick Diaz has turned down fights against Lawler and Maia.

And he's waiting to hear back from Nate regarding a fight offer.

    I thought the rumor was Diaz/Condit 2?

  23. It'd be funny if JDS beat Stipe, Cain beat Werdum, and we have JDS/Cain 4
