Man, when he tries to step back down after the kick, seeing that in slow motion is fascinating and horrible.
Can someone explain to a UFC newbie why it’s ironic or what context/background there is to that injury?
I feel like Uriah has been scarred during fights more than anyone else. His nutty KO on TUF seemed like it made him gun shy and scared to hurt someone. and now he had a front row ticket to someone turning their leg into a noodle.
That specific injury is incredibly rare - only three ever in the UFC. When Weidman fought Anderson Silva ages ago, Silva was considered the GOAT, the Michael Jordan of MMA, and still, Silva snapped his leg trying to kick Weidman. Now here we are with that happening to Chris. He’s been involved in two of the three instances of this happening.
Right, I remember that injury. I guess I just don’t get how they’re linked other than both being gruesome. Is Silva on the card tonight or something?
