Arlovski was always my favorite in his early days. That mouthpiece always made him look like such a badass.

I wonder if Arlovski’s nose has been broken in a fight more times than Nate Diaz’s eyebrows have been cut open or vice versa.

 

I have a grudge against Arlovski because I bet on him that time he lost to Stipe forever ago and it ruined my parlay. Then after losing a million times in a row I bet against him and he won.

 

I met Arlovski once at a hotel after he fought Bigfoot Silva the first time. It was basically 1-1 going into the third and then Bigfoot took him down and played it safe to win a decision, but it was a pretty good fight overall.

I was passing by him and stuck out my hand and said “hey man that was an awesome fight.” He shook my hand but just rolled his eyes and made that sort of “pfft” sound. I didn’t know what to do so I just kept walking lol

 

seeing how disrespectful Jake Paul and his crew are to Woodley, Cormier, and pretty much any MMA fighter who calls them on their shit makes me so mad. really hope that piece of shit gets what's coming to him

 

He takes himself sooo seriously and is so cocky he has no problem being a POS in interviews now.

Interviewer on MMAfighting: “I know you don’t know what’s next yet but Joe Fournier, Dillon Danis and Tyron Woodley called you out. Do any of those possible fights interest you?”

“I don’t know who any of those people are. Don’t ask me anymore dumb questions.”

Jake Paul being mean to these washed up and desperate MMA goofs is borderline amusing.

 

Yeah, I mean I can't stand the kid, but they wouldn't be so fired up and trying to insert themselves into the conversation if they weren't so eager to get one of those paydays lol. Woodley is on a four fight losing streak, looking at this kid he could probably beat one-handed that would net him a lot of dollars....

 

I just watched another (because I can’t escape him in my IG feed) and he’s like, talking as if it’s up to him to decide when he fights Conor. Like, what in the actual fuck is going on right now that this is a real guy being really considered in combat sports. Whole thing sucks.

I honestly find it extremely funny that a bunch of meatheads are essentially doing the “I would be Justin beibers ass” bit unironically.

 

I mean, I agree. don't feed the troll. doesn't have any real impact on my life but just kind of sick of seeing him have like half the coverage in MMA videos and wish he'd fight an actual boxer

 

It’s as bad as me having to acknowledge Greg Hardy as a human being.

 

Just enjoy it as the lead up to the inevitable Scumbag Super Bowl of Paul vs McGregor.

 

Unless Conor loses in similar fashion to last time, I don’t see him leaving the UFC any time soon. Especially don’t think he returns to boxing for a YouTuber. He’s filthy rich, the money would not entice his ego enough to fight someone who’s a nobody in combat sports.

(I hate that I know this) it was his brother I believe that was going to, but iirc the real reason behind it cancelling was no one was buying.

 

I just wanted to see Floyd box one of their jaws tbh.

 

the weekend’s card snuck up quickly.

 

I know you guys are sick of it, but the Triller card was googled 7.5 million times the day of the fights. That is 10X the searches of both nights of wrestlemania combined. The card on Saturday had around 200K searches. The only things that have had more searches were the big Ronda and Conor fights. Absolutely wild.

Obviously this doesn't equate to buys, but those numbers are really staggering to mean nothing. Looks like it passed 1.5 million buys and could be close to 2 million.

 

I mean, they're lying, but also it's still more than most MMA/Boxing cards.

 

Never underestimate the YouTube/TikTok audience

I know a few girls who have almost certainly never watched a boxing or MMA fight in their lives (no, I’m not saying women can’t watch combat sports, women can do whatever the fuck they want, these ones in particular have just never shown a shred of interest in either) who bought the PPV just to see Jake Paul

 

imagine if that's what got them into combat sports tho

 

That would be cool. I have my doubts, but I’m all for it.
