Damn, too bad the timing on this didn't work out a little better. They could have done Whittaker vs. Vettori for a pretty clear cut number one contender fight like I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. I feel like they'll both win their short notice fights and then the UFC will match them up anyway and probably end up letting Adesanya handpick Till lol
I don’t understand how Till is a “pussy” for not staying in the fight with a broken collarbone but OK douchebag.
Yeah that’s an awful take. I’d rather see Brunson fill in than Holland, but Holland is better than the main event being cancelled.
Update: Jones tweeted that he wants to burn all his nikes and never promote the brand again because of Lil Nas X. So yeah, color him a homophobe. Hope Ngannou hits his stupid ass brain hard enough to fix it.
The collab he did with them sold out in under a minute. I guess because it’s related to the music video, it goes hand in hand in a Christian’s eyes.
it was a collab with a diff company that just chose to use the air maxes haha nike’s suing them i’m p sure bad look on Jon regardless
262 is shaping up nicely Oliveira v Chandler Tony v Dariush Barboza v Burgos Hermansson v Shabazyan Leon v Nate
I get wanting a fight like Diaz/Edwards to be a five rounder, but why does that fight get special treatment? If that’s the case, why aren’t all PPV co-mains five rounders?
I would be down with making some non title 5 round co mains. A lot of fights that would be headlining fight nights but end up co main on PPV deserve to be five rounds.
In all seriousness props to Leon for quickly getting off that blinders on ride and taking a sort of risky fight for him. I know Nate isn’t prime anymore but he’s also no walkthrough.
Nate getting a title shot if he wins would be hilarious and random but I doubt many would complain. He isn't necessarily deserving but I think he has just as good of as chance against Usman as anyone else at 170 right now. And if Leon wins like he should, it is another impressive win and confirms his place in the title match.
Nate's strategy for negotiating is so weirdly successful. He basically just stays on the sidelines making all of these entitled claims until the UFC throws him into some big fight. He didn't fight for three years, holding out for the Conor rubber match. Then he gets one win over Pettis and they let him create his own belt, for fucks sake. haha. Now they're giving him a title eliminator fight. Sheesh.
$8-$10 million would be the biggest reported payout in MMA history. Assuming that doesn’t include PPV points.
He’s way overestimating his draw and the magnitude of the fight as far as casuals go. I love Francis but he isn’t a draw for casuals which you need for a gigantic buyrate. Jones isn’t fighting Brock lol
