I know they panicked, but I can't believe those idiots were immediately trying to lift her back to her feet (until someone told them not to) as if she had just fallen by accident. And then she's allowed to weigh in again? Who are these people running this thing?!
Man that is shitty to see. Hope she’s alright. Glad the fight is off. Back to the Chandler thing, I do like and think Oliveira has earned a title shot. Stylistically, he’s long and lanky compared to Chandler’s short and stocky size and that may play to Chandler’s advantage. Oliveira will be dangerous submission-wise for Mike, but I don’t think he should stand with him. Chin will be high in the air and takedowns, pressure against the fence will be easy for Chandler.
Going for a threefer, but it was just announced by the commentators at Fight Night tonight that Volkanovski vs Ortega is off/postponed.
I’m into Woodley vs Luque and O’Malley is still a fun featherweight to watch. I definitely don’t think they’re PPV fights like the main event but good fights. I wonder if Woodley shows up.
After seeing Woodley get completely dominated his last three fights I’m not that excited to see him fight. He’s so tentative and boring. Seeing how O’Malley comes back from his first loss is a lot more intriguing for me. Regardless the main event is a must see and I’ll watch the card just for that fight.
That was awesome! Pretty sure he was losing that fight and Santos was content just laying there to drain the clock.
Yeah that whacky and crazy style seems awesome until a veteran can exploit his lack of fundamentals. Bisping was right on the money there. He had a clear advantage on the feet, but his footwork was not sound enough to keep him from getting wrapped up in the clinch. Just too wild. His constant babbling is pretty funny until it’s clear that it’s having no effect on the fight and that he needs to have any amount of seriousness about changing the momentum of the fight.
As time goes on, I’m more and more impressed with Brunson’s resume. It’s sucks that he’s slipped at times and come up short in the key fights against the top guys. I think this stretch could net him a title shot really soon with the way Middleweight is right now, and seeing the way he’s favored his wrestling lately, I could see him doing a little better against Izzy this time around. Could be interesting.
Brunson was a force to be reckoned with in his early UFC days. I remember Bobby Knuckles derailing that hype train.
It’s kinda cool how Khabib is just hanging around the performance center all the time. I know he’s shown tons of interest in coaching post-retirement but I wonder if Dana has something else planned for him. No clue what that could be but they seems to be around each other a lot.
My body is not ready for Miocic vs Ngannou 2. The first time was really something in that it solidified Stipe as a real champ. Technique and IQ beat brute force, and any time Stipe wobbled him I remember screaming. Should be a good time.
I’m rooting for Francis, but love both guys. Haven’t been this excite for a title fight in quite some time.
It’s not like I don’t know that Ngannou has crazy KO power, but really, how is this fight setup any different than the last? We haven’t seen the guy go past round 1 since his worst fight ever against Lewis. He went right back to doing what earned him his first shot. I think it goes down the same way, or Stipe actually gets the finish.
It’s so hard to gauge Francis because he spends so little time in the cage. Is it possible he’s much better now on the ground? Oh yeah. He SHOULD be. And if he’s not then that’s on his camp. But going off what I know, Stipe wins again.
