Edwards said in the post-fight conference that he has no interest in rematching Belal, only took the fight because no one else would fight him, of course brings up his 8-fight win streak again and says he deserves his next fight to be for the title.

Imagine not competing in your league for almost 2 years, completing technically only 1.7 rounds ending in a no contest from your eye poke and then being like “I’m the top contender I deserve this.” Don’t get this man’s rationale at all.

 

Agreed. Edwards’ attitude the last couple of years has made him very unlikeable.

Lol obviously I know that symptoms and what not can drop out of nowhere, but Costa citing the Flu as his reason for dropping out is bullshit. The fight is a month out, you what, take a week off from training to rest? Not that abnormal for a camp to experience. He posted 6 selfie videos of him out jogging and exercising just yesterday.

I’m for it. Why not? Rob’s been in camp, Izzy gets a month and isn’t that far removed from a camp. Lfg Bobby.

 

There's really no one else besides Costa for him to fight that makes sense unless for some reason you pulled Vettori out of the Till fight.

No one else gets him any closer to a title shot so at this point you either just make some nonsensical match up just to keep him busy or you book him against Izzy later this year.

If it’s not Costa I think Rob should just wait for the title shot then. I did want to see Whittaker vs Gastelum the first time it was booked but the stakes are different now and Gastelum is a far cry from a title contender at the moment.


Izzy is likely to defend the Middleweight title by the end of the year so why not just work on booking that next. Unless Rob is really itching to fight and get a pay day.

 

I can see Rob getting fucked because Izzy has said he wants Till if he beats Vettori.
