Wider scoring range than I thought - 49-45?

 

Props to Izzy for moving up but I don’t think 205 is good for him.

 

What fight were DC and Joe watching? Lol

 

I said 49-45 as well. Izzy ate more jabs this fight than he ever has. Jan connected to the body, had great takedowns and really only seem to eat one hard shot. I think it’s totally fair.

 

I had it 3-2 but could easily see 4-1

I really don’t understand why Joe is so surprised at these scores

 

I legitimately think that the commentary team was wowed by Izzy feints. Seeing Jan bite on all of those and react to them had them thinking Izzy was running the show exactly like he usually does, but he wasn't REALLY landing all that much. Meanwhile, they were basically ignoring all of those snappy jabs that Jan kept landing.

But oh well, the right guy won regardless. It was a great fight. Not sure how they were baffled by the scores.

 

Rogan is a detriment to the commentary team and has been for awhile.

 

2, 4, 5 were clear wins for Jan. If people want to debate round 1, sure. But it doesn’t matter anyways.

 

I'm sure the truck fed him bad info, but I started losing it when he just asked Jan about when he used to fight at Middlweight... "No...I fight at Light Heavyweight. All my life." haha.

Also, I loved what he said about Glover. "I want to fight him next. He deserves it. Also, he is not so young and he doesn't have much time left".

Good to see Cruz get a win and looking healthy.

Nunes has just dominated those divisions to the point that the only fight that really interests me is another one with Valentina. Which it is just so impressive to be able to clean out 2 divisions.

 

Good thing they brought Rogan back.

 

lol I’m pretty tired of the biased commentary and his overreaction to everything one fighter does, but I don’t blame him for those post fights things. I’m sure the truck gave him bad info on Jan (maybe not), but I do think old Rogan would have been more familiar with the current champ’s history. He’s definitely way more out of touch with the sport. The thing with Cruz was odd, but how long do you let him rant about his business beef? They also had to cut to the PPV pretty quickly.

The crucifucked thing is just hilarious though.

 

I find it really funny Costa spent months trying to figure out an excuse for his loss, and then settled on “I drank the night before.” Are you thinking anyone with an IQ above 10 would buy that? Seems like a nitpick but he has been actively posting about it with the hashtag #SoberCostaUndefeated and it’s very much not a joke.

 

Rogan should have been put out to pasture with Goldberg. And I thought last night was one of his better recent performances.

If that's how Izzy lost to Jan, then Jones would have absolutely steamrolled him.

Think Yan is going to paste Aljo in the rematch.
