Condit and Kattar might be my two favorite active fighters. I’ll be so pumped if they can win back-to-back today.
Man that was a great win for Li. He clobbered him lol. I know the fight wasn’t long enough to get much out of it, but Ponzi looked a bit rusty to me. He was a little stiff and hesitant, and Li caught him with his chin up in the air.
Sweet fucking Jesus. I never seen anything like that before. I was literally watching with my hands covering my mouth there in the 5th.
God I expected that to be an uphill battle for Kattar, but that was brutal. That was a hard stylistic matchup for him because Max does not give you time to think or attempt to counter. Max looked absolutely fantastic and even better than he ever has, but I’m still not convinced he would look much different against Volk than in their last fight. Alex and Dustin were both great at keeping him from moving forward and disrupting his rhythm, and that’s what you have to do in order to stop his momentum. Kattar had success whenever he went first, but it just wasn’t his style. If you let Max lead, he’s just going to run away with it, and even though he looked new and improved tonight, that’s always been his style.
Max throws unbelievable volume. How Calvin's corner didn't throw in the towel is beyond me, it's borderline infuriating.
Max Holloway took him to the CLINIC. the early KO’s at the beginning of the card were both awesome finishes too. Great card. I definitely feel that with whatever is going on with Yair, it should’ve put Zabit next in line for a shot. Quite surprised Ortega gets it off his one win in 2 years, but alas, it should be him behind Zabit. If I could call it I would’ve had Zabit vs Volkanovski and Holloway vs Ortega II.
