Sage has nothing at all on the ground, but Gall calling out Dan Hardy was the worst part about that fight.
Sage at least proved that Gall has a long way to go in the stand up department, as well. Sage was beyond careless and did not respect him, so Gall was able to land that hook that dropped him, but before that single shot, he looked lost out there. A more disciplined and experienced fighter would have wiped the floor with him. He's good, but UFC champ within a couple of years? I'm saying "no way".
I like both guys, and they have a ton of potential, but they're both real young and could use some seasoning. To their credit, it's not like they've been calling for championship caliber guys. They can't really help that there's an interest in them.
For sure, I'm a fan of both (Sage in particular gets a lot more flack than he should just because of how he was hyped by the UFC). I just mean Gall was making the statement at the end about how he thinks he will be champ within a couple of years. That's all I was referring to. I'm not sure, but I'm also interested in hearing if it's worth it. I was thinking about buying a full year's worth for my brother for Christmas because he's also way into all of the kickboxing events they offer... Wondering if that's a smart decision.

I have Fight Pass but the few times I've used it on my Apple TV, it freezes up quite a bit. I typically use it through my Xbox One or straight through my Smart TV and it seems to work much better on those. Admittedly, I haven't tried to use it on the ATV in quite some time.
Word I'm just wondering if it's worth the money period, even if I didn't use it on my Apple TV. Are there any discounts on PPV after you buy a membership? Or does it just allow you to stream tv events and previous fights?
No discounts on PPV. You can just stream fight pass cards and other organizational cards and then you have the whole fight library and UFC original programming. I never use it outside of watching fight pass prelims or fight pass events. $10 isn't something I sweat too much over so I just keep it but that's primarily in part because I'm too lazy to cancel it.
Rousey better dominate based on how they're building this fight. They're making this return so epic. If she loses it'll almost be embarrassing for UFC.
Hunt vs Overeem UFC 208 Will be a barnstormer. I truly thought Mark had burnt his bridges with the organisation. I'm excited
Going to be fireworks. Thought I saw Hunt still wants the (rightful) clauses added to his contract, so I'm hoping they come to terms. Also, great interview with Aldo on MMAFighting where he implies that Khabib turned down a fight with him at lightweight.
I would love to see that fight (Aldo/Khabib), but I have no idea why that would have ever been an idea. I get a little irritated with some of these guys around the top of FW, LW, and WW. Seems like Max, Tony and Conor will fight anyone they are given/offered while Aldo, Khabib, etc. just complain and say that people are ducking them, turning down fights, blah, blah, blah.
I'm not at all a Conor lover and I know he gets handed opportunities, but it's refreshing not to hear him pull out of fights, fight on short notice, complain about stipulations, etc. haha.
Haha, we actually share similar feelings on him, he's just very selective with who he fights now. Why fight the contenders when you have the ability to make them fight each other? There's nothing wrong with that approach, but it leaves a lot to be desired when you talk the way he does. He's got to defend a belt sometime, unless he goes after Woodley (which would be so lame, and Woodley angling for it is just as lame). That said, the only logical thing to do here (which will never ever happen in a million years) is to do Conor/Aldo and Khabib/Ferguson on the same card. Winners face each other.
Meanwhile I know Conor haters keep saying "erreggh he's ducking khabib" , which I want them to fight but let's be honest Khabib needs to string a few more fights in a row before he really deserves a shot. He's bailed on more fights with injury and what not than Aldo had
I agree he's missed out on some good fights with some great contenders. But he's fought a string of strong opponents at least. When he's not fighting Aldo/Ferg/Khabib, it's at least because he was offered a more appealing fight, you know? He hasn't said "I don't want that fight..." or "This guy turned the fight down" to everyone while also backing out of fights for various reasons like Aldo and Khabib seem to do. I also hope he doesn't fight Woodley, but I know they both want that fight. Low risk/high reward for Conor, and it's a likely win and huge payday for Woodley. Makes sense for them financially, but honestly sucks for eeeeeeeeveryone else. I agree, I get tired of all of them throwing each other under the bus. That's why Max and El Cucuy are refreshing. They just sit back and say "give me a fucking fight" and then they win. haha.
