Don't need to see Nick back, he gets washed by any contender at 170. Guess the Lawler rematch might be worth it? Could be a co-main of some random fight night.
Yeah I’m a little bit past feeling excited seeing either of the Diaz brothers fight. I get it’s sort of all they’ve got aside from Nate’s CBD business, but I don’t see either being anything more than a buffer for up and coming guys in the rankings now. The way that the BMF fight culminated was cool, but both are past their prime and are painfully difficult in the spotlight.
Weird rumor going around that Volk is defending his title against Zabit at 254. Zabit was scheduled to fight Yair on that card. And that card is already legitimately fucking insane.
I find that rumor extremely hard to believe. It's been nearly a year since his last fight where he turned down a 5 rounder and still struggled with cardio by the end... But I guess I could also see Ali pulling some shit with Dana if Yair pulled out again.
Imagine not paying one of your top ranked guys better. After bragging about paying two of your employees 1.5 million for the great job they’ve been doing with matchmaking during the pandemic. (When guys are begging for fights to support their families) This also comes a week after DC said Dana sent him A MILLION DOLLARS EXTRA after the Jones fight. Pay Dustin you fucking goof.
Especially considering Dustin has arguably had the toughest schedule out of anyone in the organization lately. Nevermind that he delivers time and time again. The guy has gotten a performance bonus in the last 7 of 8 fights (only missing the one where he got smothered by Khabib).
Rough go of things for Matt Schnell. I’ve been a fan of his since he joined the UFC. He was finished early in his last bout after a string of solid wins, and unfortunately his fight with Nam tomorrow is scratched because he collapsed at weigh-ins. Hope he recovers quickly.
Yes! Croom was the guy I posted about a few weeks ago who is from my home town. He just won his UFC debut in 31 seconds. Amazing.
I wanted to, but ran out of time! I know Roberts is tough and it was short notice, but Croom has 3x the experience so I knew it was a smart bet.
