Any fights other than the main event worth tuning in for today?

That was super close but I thought Munhoz was better.

I bet we get Edgar v TJ in November now

 

tjs back in January but I expect him to get that fight if not an immediate title shot

 

Very close fight. Could’ve gone either way for me. Pedro had the advancing position and solid leg kicks, but constant combos and landing hard got it done for Frankie. Crazy to think what he could’ve been like fighting at Bantamweight years ago.

 

The entire main card wound up being slept on. Some really good stuff.

 

I had Pedro winning that fight, didn't think it was that close either. Bet we'll get Frankie/Dom next.

 

This is pretty exciting. Croom is from my hometown, and I remember watching him fight like 12 or 13 years ago when he was an amateur (plus, my brother trained/taught at the gym where he started out).

I believe he's had a couple of instances where the UFC has talked to him about potentially signing him after a good win streak, but then he ended up losing the next bout so it's great to see him finally get signed. Fun fact - he also had the unfortunate luck of being Gaethje's first pro fight. haha.

Edit: Felt like I needed an update to this.... Croom got all the way to Vegas and said the UFC "cut [him] in the same 24 hours as the signing"....so he's not even fighting lol not sure how that happened, honestly. I'm willing to bet he got a pretty underwhelming offer or Caceres decided to pull out as well and they said "screw it". Bummer regardless.

 

Dana is claiming Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall will be Silva’s retirement fight.

So he’ll be in Bellator sometime next year.

 

Are they going to go Jones v Stipe?

I know the majority are mad Jones will probably get an automatic title shot but no one said that when DC jumped up and got Stipe right away. I think both guys deserve a title fight. Either way is cool with me.

 

Jones should absolutely get a title shot. But I think he’ll wait until next spring or so.

they’ll do Francis vs Stipe 2 first imo. Jon/Francis is probably a bigger fight.

 

Robbie is so frustrating to watch now.

 

4 losses in a row for Lawler. I’m sure he’ll get another crack but retirement wouldn’t bother me.

 

Still think Condit should have gotten the nod over Robbie, but either way, it seems like both guys lost a piece of themselves in there. Since that fight, Condit is 0-4 and Robbie is 1-5 with a not-so-great win over Cowboy in there. He’s probably landed 20 strikes in the last two fights as well.

Surprised that's not put on by bellator. Wonder who else that's way past their prime they will get. Its gonna bomb big time like Ortiz-Liddell lol I might order just to watch a train wreck if the last two fights are as awful as these.

 

I didn’t know Fedors contract expired with Bellator. I figured Coker would try to do Fedor/Werdum.

 

Rumored 254 card is one of the best all time on paper.

Yeah that is a sick card. Also rumored to have Carvallo-Murphy in a 125 title eliminator and Walt Harris vs Volkov. Only thing I could see is Zabit/Yair getting moved to a fight night so its a 5 round fight since I've heard Dana say he wants that to be a 5 rounds.
