Said on his vlog or whatever it is he talks to his fans on that he currently walks around at about 235lbs. So yeah, I too don’t understand how he can make 185. It’s remarkable, but at the same time scary to think about. I’m assuming he has no fights booked and must drop every picogram of fat he has gained since being out from surgery beforehand.
Calvin Kattar vs Dan Ige announced for July 15th. Big fight for both guys coming off wins over veterans. Got me wondering though, are the rest of the top fighters at FW (outside of Holloway and Volkanovski) unable to fight currently? Feel like we haven’t heard anything about Ortega, Chan, Zabit, or Yair in a long time.
Great fight to make. I hope it happens. How has Ortega managed to hold onto his no. 2 ranked spot after a year and a half of inactivity? About time he gets back in there.
“In an appearance on ‘The Schmozone’ podcast with Dave Schmulenson and Helen Yee, Dana White opened up on the future of Francis Ngannou and suggested he could be the alternate for UFC 252. He said, “Yea we’ve talked to him about that. I don’t know where we are on those talks. But yea if one of those guys (Cormier and Miocic) fell out, we’ll be looking to put Francis in there.” This certainly seals the deal for the next few months at Heavyweight.”
I really can’t imagine DC would want that fight lol. I know the dudes one of the best of all time but fuck.
I feel like there's no way DC wins this unless he hits Stipe with a lot of eye pokes again but I could very well be wrong
Yeah I too wonder if either DC or Stipe would be willing to fight Ngannou in place of the other. Could see the UFC threatening to take the title from Stipe if he were to refuse it, which is shitty. DC would likely just retire.
