His strategy either works or it doesn’t. That’s like the extent of his style. If the guys don’t allow him to blitz and land that right hand then he just doesn’t throw at all and refuses to do any sort of plan b. Whenever he loses, it always looks like he was absolutely stumped in there.
Just look at that division. Usman, Masvidal, Colby, Burns, Leon, and even Nate. I think all of those guys would beat up Woodley.
well, I was gonna make a joke about how Woodley should stick to his music career but it looks like I've been beaten to the punch I see him having one more fight in the UFC tbh. he's on borrowed time
Yeah I guess I have to take the side that says Jones is playing hardball but I also don't really believe Dana. I can see Jon not being as big of a draw as he used to be and I can see the ufc isn't making as much money now without crowds... But I also believe Jon should make more than what's currently making, not just for a super fight but for every fight because of who he is and the attention he attracts, and I believe the UFC/owners could afford to pay for it if they weren't so greedy and poorly managed financially. Maybe not to the full extent he's asking, especially at the moment, but still...
I loathe Jon Jones with every ounce of my being, but I refuse to believe anything Dana ever has to say. The man is a notorious liar who treats his athletes like shit. Good for Jones.
Reyes vs Jan for the belt is a good fight tbh. I still think Santos ultimately ends up holding the belt at some point.
Yeah not surprised about that one. Classic scenario where a guy feels like he's exhausted his title possibilities so he switches divisions for a fresh start. It seemed like Gus "retired" mostly out of frustration anyway. He always felt like he should have been the rightful champion, but then he got demolished by Jones and submitted by Smith, a fight where a lot of people thought it was a given that he would win. Not surprising that he felt lost at that point in time. I'll be surprised to see how much longer Fabricio has left though. I know he had a long layoff, but he looked terrible last time out.
