Completely overlooked that Suga Sean was fighting Eddie Wineland That’s a great fight. And definitely a test to see where Sean is as a fighter. A win would put him in the top 15 and he’d start fighting better competition
Smart play for Masvidal. Nate and Conor are both easier match-ups than Usman. Should McGregor win it'd be a massive money fight for him. It's all so very stupid, but it's MMA so I 100% expect it to play out like this.
I just want Conor to fight someone. I don’t care if it’s a mismatch like Usman and he gets destroyed. It’d still be a fun fight.
I don’t see him taking a fight until crowds are allowed to attend the events again. Even if he wanted to, the UFC won’t pass up the gate.
Cejudo retiring messed everything up in that division. Sandhagen v Sterling was already in the works and will be a #1 contender fight. That’s still happening at 250 but they probably don’t want to make it an interim title fight because of Yan. I’d assume we were gonna see Cejudo v Yan for the title, so it’d be unfair to Yan if they just skipped him and made him wait. Since Sandhagen and Sterling are tied up (and still fighting for #1 contender status), the next best option for UFC was throwing Aldo out there. So makes sense even though it’s kinda lame lol
Speaking of Cejudo.... He just came out on AEW as a part of Mike Tyson’s crew and fought Jericho haha
That's a super solid card. I've seen far worse PPV cards before. UFC attracts a lot of fairweather fans that bitch unless a PPV has multiple title fights or McGregor/Diaz/Jones fighting. l'll probably end up ordering it.
