General consensus among fans is Brock legitimately wanted to get his match out of the way to go home since he was losing.

 

Ok so I just googled this and skimmed through the first article which confirmed everything you said. I’m kind of confused though. It’s been close to two decades since I’ve watched, but they had the biggest title in the WWE on the line in the very first match of Wrestlemania? Weird. What is the headliner then?

For sure. There were tons of people saying "Oh man, we always called him crazy in a joking way but I guess it was more serious than we thought", but I don't really buy that. Weird, definitely, and it could have been something that has manifested itself more than once, but he was obviously suffering on a different level recently.

Hopefully he's not like Mayhem Miller where he seems to get worse over time and never really bounce back. Although from the way people like Usman talk, Mayhem always felt like a wildcard that could snap at any moment.
