A Superman hook, unorthodox indeed. Wonderboy was cruising too. I'll take RDA v Pettis, good time to run that back.
I think there was definitely a huge advantage for Pettis when it came to power and Wonder Boy being a stand up guy.
Wonder boy is usually so damn careful and calculating, that KO what a fuckin shocker. One of those strange things to witness.
Yeah like I said, he’s elusive but really only when he’s on the outside. His pocket defense is definitely exploitable. Then factor in Anthony’s speed advantage plus the fact that the punch was nearly impossible to see coming... He never evenknew what hit him. Haha. He definitely still has potential to be a champion but I think he’s going to have to get a favorable match up.
I know Wonderboy has said he's pretty strict on who he trains with (pretty sure his dad and him own their own MMA gym) and he's trained with Weidman and people from that camp in NY. He got caught with something incredible but I still think it would benefit him to kinda bring in some other guys during camps.
Hope he comes back and shocks the world with a 1st round finish. Obviously not even remotely impressed with his performances so far, but for this guy to say fuck it to WWE and get in the octagon with the utmost respect to the sport is admirable. Hell, even being willing to get back in once more after that last fight is really something.
Can't lose if you don't fight! And even when you do lose, you didn't actually lose. Or it was bullshit. These are principles I've learned through the Diaz brothers.
I’ll admit he had a good run in the second fight when the momentum picked up but....I don’t think he remembers getting dropped like five times in the first round.
I was actually a McGregor fan during those fights, so weird remembering how much I was rooting for him those times. That second fight felt like it was an hour long. There were so many phases to it .
I'm so excited for this weekend! The ESPN card is stacked with a dream main event and then a couple hours later DJ and Eddie are fighting in Tokyo. I can't wait!
