Great job by Eddie! I was hoping RDA would win but oh well. Eddie vacated the Bellator belt (that he got by beating the current Bellator champ), (lost a fight) then went on to beat the last Strikeforce champ, the last WEC champ, and then he won the UFC belt. How's that for a resume?
I don't even see why the main event even really matters at this point? People know what fights are/aren't happening, I guess. It seems like they just didn't want the card to go "Interim Championship fight, Women's Championship fight, Non-title fight, Non-title fight main event". Wanted to give some more credibility to the belts.
Predicting Tate wins, calls out Ronda, Bad Reputation hits and they have a stare down in the center of the octagon to close the show pro wrestling style
Still can't believe how great Eddie did last night. I thought RDA was a bad style match up for him, but he played it perfectly. He kept ducking under to make RDA think he was shooting for take downs just to get that thought in his head, and sure enough, it got RDA to drop his hands just enough to slip that punch in.
lol Anderson weighed in this morning at 198.5 with all of his clothes on. DC will probably be 225-230 tomorrow night at fight time. I'm kinda scared for AS.
I think he knows this is a terrible fight for him. Honestly, DC is a nightmare match up for anyone in the entire UFC save for Jon Jones, much less a guy in a lighter weight class who always had trouble with wrestlers. It seems like he is doing it more for the respect than anything. Possibly trying to make up for the fact that he got popped recently, too. I definitely give him props. For all of the times people said he was ducking wrestlers, cherry picking his fights, etc. this is a bold move. And honestly, he can't do worse than Dan Henderson, so oh well.
I've never liked silva. Respect. But never liked. But 24hrs I've done a backflip. Fully cheering him as the underdog. And I quite like DC Really enjoyed the last 2 ladies fights tonight. The men's tuf was a snooze
they don't do rehearsals for other fighters so there is going to be some sort of spectacle for his walk out. I can't wait.
I lied earlier, Jim Miller won at UFC 100 and now 200! Glad to at least have my first pick win tonight haha
Pretty good card so far. Such a shame that all three FightPass prelims were amazing and then the FS1 prelims have just been ok. How are everyone's picks? Through the first five, I've only missed the Sanchez/Lauzon fight which was the toughest one to call because I knew they would both come in firing.
