I want to be cynical of that but the more I think about it the more I think it's a good solution. If what they're saying is true and the drug causes your body to produce small amounts of a certain metabolite for up to 7ish years then Jones shouldn't be punished for that entire 7 years. But he also shouldn't get a complete pass for those 7 years. Increased drug testing and taking fights one at a time while making sure to keep a close eye on him every step of the way is the best way to do it.
Jones v Smith Woodley v Usman Lawler v Askren Stephens v Magomedsharipov Holm v Ladd Garbrandt v Munhoz March 2nd can't come soon enough
Ugh as excited as I am for all the lightweight matchups for Max I really think we need to see Dustin vs Tony if we’re not getting Tony Khabib The lightweight division is already too tangled up so throwing in Max right now would be too much going on. He’s gotta move up eventually though I guess...
Dustin was losing against Eddie initially in their last bout. Eddie messed up again and Dustin capitalized. I think he’s a good first match-up for Max at that weight, and Tony should be fighting for a title next.
Tj did thankfully say in another social media post at some point after the fight something like “I didn’t say it after the fight but I need to congratulate Henry on his win” with something else. But no doubt the interview will be nothing but complaints about the ref.
Yeah every single time he says something along the lines of “I need to congratulate...” he always end it with a “BUT” haha
I mean, Henry is the man. He did exactly what he was supposed to do, and he's still the champ. BUT YOU DID NOT BEAT ME. YOU DIDN'T WIN.
Liststening to the podcast now and the ref blaming is literally the entire first 2 minutes so far. Joe even agreeing with him which bewilders me. TJ is pretty clearly not there. “My equilibrium was just off but I was 100% there. I told the ref I’m good.” Then he goes straight into “I’ve never even heard of this ref. Watching him shows he’s clearly inexperienced.” Tj you got steamrolled just accept it.
If the ref didn't stop that fight then Cejudo would of just wrecked and embarrassed TJ for another 45 seconds until the ref had to stop the fight again. He was completely defenseless when that ref jumped in.
I agree. The breakdown video posted earlier in the thread explains it perfectly. Idk how he’s so convinced he looked fine at the time the ref stopped it.
Is this Rogan podcast tolerable?? I kinda wanna listen but I feel like i'm gonna get annoyed and shut it off quick.
I just put it on, he's insisting he felt great and didn't lose his chin because of the weight cut, doesn't that look worse for him then? Haha.
