Last few minutes of this episode has Gus sitting down with Dana about the fight being moved to LA. Looks like him and Jones were the only ones directly told it was being moved like reported lol. Dana asked Gus if he wanted to move the fight to March (I’m assuming 235) and he was like nah
Also my favorite quote from that video "It's not fair to you (Gus), and it's definitely not fair to Jon either" Come on Dana you fucking goof.
Gus is super confident, but he's coming off a layoff too. He's certainly beatable and Jones has had multiple fights where people thought he was going to lose, and then boom 1 or 2 strikes and the fight is coming to a close in his favor. Such a good fight that is beyond marred in my head now. Debating whether or not I will buy the card.
I originally wasn’t going to buy it after this (I skipped out on buying the last one) but I think I will in the end. My single PPV buy doesn’t mean much but I do want to support Gus and the other really great title fight on the card. I know some people wanted to boycott it completely but I think it’s worth supporting the other three fighters who has pay dictated by PPV sales.
Apparently UFC didn't send out the presale codes for those who bought Vegas tickets and wanted to travel to LA like they promised. What a fucking joke.
Wait is DC calling the fight this weekend? I remember him calling Jones/OSP and did a good job with that.
I think with the high school level arguments they've been having on social networks, this is not a good plan.
Same boat as everyone else. I debated having a party and buying the PPV (which I virtually never do) but I don’t know if I will. I don’t want to support the UFC’s shenanigans but I don’t want to NOT support the fighters. I’m also always pumped for a Gus fight so maybe I’ll do it regardless.
Im gonna watch the card regardless of the drama, because I typically have a small viewing party for every UFC PPV. But Im definitely not as excited as I was when this card was first announced.
Yep, what I assumed and believed. Colby is riding this out as long as he can. Cause how much shit is he gonna be able to talk when this imaginary interim title is gone and Tyron crushes him? Probably hopes to see Tyron lose to Usman by some random chance, and then challenge him who I think is an easier chance of winning for Covington.
Am I the only one who’s not a Gaethje fan? A lot of people love him, I just never really got hyped on him as a fighter.
I never really put too much stock into when a fighter says “I signed the fight agreement but he said no!!!” Half the time people are offered those and talking about a fight before it’s even mentioned to the other guy to see if he’s available. We’ve seen countless fights “announced” that way that don’t even happen.
I really really want to believe that Gus can pull off the victory but I know the fucking cheat will probably win and it’s really just a hopeless feeling also pulling for Nunes but that’s an equally hopeless feeling to have
I have some hope for Gus but I know that lay-off and everything isn’t going to be a positive for him. Still hope for an exciting fight. I have no hope for Nunes despite being a fan. I think she just gets walked down tbh
Jeff Novitsky is on Rogans podcast rn and said that Jones failed multiple tests with the same substance. The amount just kept decreasing pretty much. Why weren’t those made public at the time? Dude legit said in August
