Anderson Silva continuously calling out GSP and saying he isn't challenging himself is comical. Says he only takes "easy" fights now. I'm pretty sure fighting a champion is not exactly taking an easy fight. On top of that, what does GSP have left to prove to anyone? Especially a cheater and someone in a normally higher weight class, that has had a terrible run over the past few years. If you're trying to rope in a fight to remain relevant, maybe see if you can get by Israel first. And have your results come back clean.
Jon Jones skips recommended VADA testing ahead of UFC 232 Why would Jon want to take extra tests? lol
Rockhold's one advantage at LHW is his speed. But stoppage-power I think he's lacking big time and will get wrecked with 1-2 heavy shots.
Offensively I could see him being okay (but you're right, he does lack one-punch power). His defense is way too relaxed though. I don't think his chin is all that great and he leaves his hands down waaay too much. Those are pretty bad traits to have moving up a weight class, but some guys are able to withstand shots a little better when they aren't cutting so much weigh so who knows.
After watching a big dude like Romero (possibly the biggest Middleweight currently in the UFC) send him flying to the mat with one punch, i'd say he's in for more difficult challenges. Who knows though, I actually really like Rockhold's fighting style and think he's a great match up for more middleweights. I would like to see him do good from here on out in whichever weight class.
I have a rough time seeing Luke succeed against any of the top 5ish guys at 205. Have him fight someone like Santos or maybe even Anthony Smith. That could main event a fight night. Smith could use a win over a bigger name even if the fight makes no sense.
Rockhold's what, 6'3? He's not going to be much shorter than the 205ers and adding strength/size isn't the most difficult thing. I like his chances against most of the division. Hell, Smith and Santos didn't exactly set the world on fire at middleweight and they're on the come up now.
Also big for Holm to have another win. Being 2-4 for her last 6 fights, she needs a streak to be a contender for championship again before retirement.
Cerrone: 'Pretty sure Conor and I will be meeting' Cowboy seems to think Conor is a possibility if he wins next month
“ UFC VP of Athlete Health and Performance Jeff Novitzky said Jones’ positive test is not a violation. He said USADA, in consultation with other organizations, believes the test is a “pulsing” effect and not a new ingestion of the substance that he tested positive for after a UFC 214 win over Daniel Cormier in July 2017. Novitzky described the amount of turinabol metabolites in Jones’ system in low “picogram” levels. “A picogram is a one-trillionth of a gram,” Novitzky said. “If you put one grain of salt on the table and split it up into 50 million pieces, a picogram is one of those pieces of that gram of salt. These levels have shown up in the single and double digits of picograms – so such a small amount.” Just let them all juice. This is fucking dumb at this point
lol The drug test I failed at work was because of the weed I accidentally smoked a year and a half ago. Nothing new was ingested. GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE
