The thing that’s even more amazing about that finish is that it could have been SO controversial had TKZ not gone all the way out. If he had just gotten badly rocked (or even dazed to the point where he couldn’t continue), it would have been an extremely difficult call whether or not to give the fight to Yair at the bell and probably would have resulted in some pretty serious backlash/debates. The fact that TKZ face planted and did not move left 0 doubt.

 

Zombie ate the mat. Yair was throwing wild shit the whole fight, barely landing most of his power strikes, and ate some mean punches. This was an excellent match up.

 

Also, Mike Perry confirmed Cerrone broke his arm.

Seems to be a little early to push Adesanya into that spot, at least if it's against Whittaker. But that'd be a huge fight for the Oceanic crowd.

 

Eh, like I said earlier... I'm not surprised and I would like to see him fight one Kelvin/Robert, but man, poor Jacare. You (essentially) give Adesanya the shot coming off a win over Brunson, the same guy that got knocked out by Jacare in his previous fight. Regardless if he's lost to Whittaker and Gastelum recently, I feel like you gotta give the guy a title shot based on his resume and his age. If he retires without ever getting a chance at the title, it will be a shame.
