To be fair, there have been far less worthy title challengers throughout the years than Michael Bisping.
Oh no doubt about it haha. I just don't think a rematch will be competitive in the slightest. But from a marketing perspective it's the best option to go with given Bisping's star power.
Joe Soto has got to be the least deserving in recent memory, haha. I agree with everything you've said. Strictly speaking from a competition perspective, Jacare (if properly prepared) is the logical choice. If the aim is strictly to sell more PPVs, you probably have to go Bisping. At the very least, the pre-fight trash talk would likely be spectacular.
Also, I just re-watched Weidman/Rockhold and I don't think i've ever seen somebody throw question mark kicks like Rockhold so fluidly. He didn't land them like he has before, but still.
This would be one of the few times I wouldn't mind UFC playing favorites. I don't want Jacare in there on two weeks notice, even if he did just fight. Bisping's been a company guy, can talk enough to build relative interest in this fight, and when he loses, he can go back to his gatekeeper/fun fight status. Wins all around if you ask me.
Awesome. I'll be watching. Though I doubt Bisping has much of a chance here. My guess is he gets sub'd again. So Weidman is out 6-8 weeks. Jacare apparently is having knee surgery, which is why he didn't get this fight. A lot of injuries at the top of the 185 division.
lmao. Mayhem Miller came in at 24lbs overweight for his 185lb fight with Luke Barnatt with Venator FC. Pulled from the fight and replaced by another middleweight fighter. They're supposedly trying to match Mayhem up with another 205 guy. double lol at him thinking his shorts were the issue. What a god damn turdball.
If there is one guy in the world of MMA that should no longer be fighting, it's Mayhem Miller. What a mess.
Dude needs some help. I feel like he has contributed nothing positive to anything he's been involved with in the last 6 years or so. I used to really like the guy, but he went off the deep end some time ago. Should have known he couldn't accomplish something like a weight cut anymore.
24 pounds over weight and he takes his pants off bahahaha Seriously. You could weight every turd I've done in month of May and it still wouldn't total 24pounds
In all honesty I'm just waiting for him to get into another police standoff and for him to get taken out. His brain is scrambled and he's been a babbling incoherent mess for years. It's quite sad really.
After making it through all of the allegations, the musical chairs of opponents, etc..... he gets pulled for using an IV. So dumb.
Should be a great fight. I love both guys, but I see Garbrandt coming out on top. Almeida has more wepaons, but he's also much more prone to getting hit.
Tend to agree, but I feel like we're going to see a very back and forth affair, with both guys taking damage, before an eventual TKO. Been playing it out in my head all week, keep changing my mind on who to lean towards. Great fight.
I love fights like that where I don't care/know who will win. I just hope it will be an awesome, crazy fight.
