I’m pulling for Woodley, which I’ve never done before. I think Tyron has honest gripes about the UFC and his lack of exposure or push, but he just handles everything terribly. Till is just a bad dude. I thought the Wonder Boy fight was closer than a lot of people make it out to be. Till’s cut is just too hard on his body. I think Tyron pulls it out, hopefully not in the same way he won the Wonder Boy fights, but I can see it happening, given his ability to dodge shots and stuff the takedowns.
I don’t like Woodley’s personality much either. His ascent to the top was a bit humbler and wildly entertaining. Since being champion he’s been a boring fighter, out for injuries, and yet still somehow remained the most cocky and talkative fighter in the game. (Barring Conor who’s just in a different world) But with that said, I just saw this photo earlier of Till: He looks god awful and it’s only Wednesday. I can’t imagine he’ll be fighting at his best. And honestly, if he wins the title, then what? We have a champ that we worry will not make weight or die every defense? I think Woodley catches him coming in too close like he has with others and puts him down in the 1st or 2nd.
WOW. Till looks so drawn out already. Holy shit. He’s gonna look absolutely awful when he weighs in on Friday.
He’s acting like it’s no big deal when I really think he already knows he’s not gonna make weight. I know it’s not a big deal to Woodley since he’ll get paid regardless, but the UFC needs to 100% not sign Till for another Welterweight fight after this.
Yeah I think he’s gonna miss weight. Usman is the replacement but Woodley seemed super adamant that he wasn’t taking that fight on a days notice
I hate that these guys even have to worry about this. Weight cutting is so dumb. Till needs to say fuck it and move up (maybe to 205 lol)
There’s just no way it’s sustainable as a champion fighter even if he makes this one. I get the concept of fighting in lighter weight classes, but dude you’re 6’3 and walk around at about 200lbs. It’s insane to me. I walk around at about 185lbs, and I’m 6’1. Thinking about dropping 15lbs in a week sounds god awful, let alone 35lbs.
Crazy concept thought I just had: Till makes weight, gets the surprise upset over Woodley. He moves up to Middleweight and faces Whittaker and tries to be the third dual-division Champion, and the youngest ever?
mannnn. This is gonna be close for him. 8lbs of water weight isn’t bad but he could already be water depleted
If it's this much of a struggle for him I don't want him to win since he's obviously going up. Woodley is sticking around at 170 so I'd rather him win.
