I know they need a decently big fight to stay on the TV prelims but bumping Barberena-Alves to the main card is a head scratcher.

Barberena coming off that pretty boy hype train derailment.

Any predictions for tomorrow? I feel pretty confident that Werdum retains and Souza beats Belfort. And obviously Cyborg over Leslie Smith. Though, watching the UFC 198 Embedded videos, I've really come to enjoy Leslie Smith. She seems to be having a blast.

And Micoc's distaste for the ice bath was pretty funny.

I have this strange feeling Stipe is going to starch Werdum on the feet. I'll be in Vegas watching the fight, might throw down some money on it.

I'm a huge Miocic fan, so I would love for that to happen.

Fair enough. And looking at the odds, Miocic is +135, so Werdum is only a slight favorite at -165. I just hope it is an entertaining fight!

I feel like on paper, Werdum should win, but I wouldn't be the least bit shocked of Miocic could shut him down in the stand up. Werdum has the tendency to get intimidated by strikers that he views as superior (even though he should be the rangier, more versatile guy). Werdum has more ways to win, but I don't really think Stipe is even going to mess with the ground/clinch game much.

Overall though....still going Fabricio Werdum. The guy has never been better and just finds the way to get it done, it seems.

Absolutely, and I think it will be. That's really all I ever want out of any high profile fight (barring really hating one of the fighters), a good, entertaining back and forth scrap. Like @Mrk_Brdshw said, no question Werdum has more ways to win this fight, but I think should it stay standing Miocic could cause him some serious problems.

All in all, great card. Can't wait to watch.

I didn't really know what to expect from her, but man, her hands did not look good.. I could tell from the first punch she threw that she was way out matched. It seemed like when Cyborg felt her first punch, she realized she was free to just let loose because there was no way she was getting caught.

Leslie Smith almost got outstruck by Rin Nakai. That was a brutal mismatch from the get go, but props to Leslie for taking the fight. I respect that.

That was whacky of Werdum to go running like that, but Stipe was ready with that right hand, man. So slick.

Heavyweight is so crazy. Not one of them has avoided getting KO'ed by another top guy.

Fabricio was uncharacteristically stupid running after him like that, but I think Stipe baited him into doing that. Looked like Stipe's feints and his footwork threw Werdum off, as he wasn't landing his kicks anymore. Like they're saying on the post-fight show, I think the crowd had him riled up and Stipe was fighting at a slow pace and it frustrated him. Got super careless, but I think Stipe deserves credit for swaying him into fighting that way.

Waking up to find out Stipe won is awesome. Dude has some crazy strength to get Werdum as hard as he did while back pedaling.

Cyborg may very well be a literal cyborg. They should check to make sure be that was inhuman.

    Miocic!!!!

Kudos to him for keeping his cool and taking what was given. Werdum was clearly amped by the crowd and trying to force the issue.

I was glad Bam Bam got the win.

Also, was the stoppage what Leslie was flipping out about? She was livid about something. I'm not sure she had any real cause to complain. Cyborg was dropping bombs on her.

And my goodness, did Yancy take some serious abuse and keep chugging. I have no idea how that thing went to a decision, let alone how it ended with Yancy in the mount throwing punches.

While I do believe cyborg is an impressive fighter and think it'd be a good match, I don't think she'll beat Rousey so easily as she did Leslie. I would think she'd know to be a little humble looking at how that mindset went for others that had streaks like hers. (Rousey, Silva, Mcgregor.)

Knew Miocic was winning as soon as I saw Werdum moving. Looked awful from the get go.

Yep she was carrying on about the stoppage. The ref saved her from plastic surgery. She had some rant on Twitter too about wanting herb dean next time

Whoever told Werdum that stupid fucking face he makes is funny should be loaded into a cannon and shot directly into the sun.

I was watching the fight with my fiancee and she was so confused about that face. I explained it was a face that he thought was funny and was apparently trying to make it a signature of some kind. It was at that moment she decided she was rooting for Miocic.

Apparently Chael Sonnen was on ESPN ripping the stoppage as well. Not sure what the technical rule states, but it certainly looked to me like Smith wasn't really capable of defending herself. That fight wasn't going to get any better for her, IMO.

When he did it. I kinda thought " this guy won't win" looked like he didn't give a fuck
