Anyone here Meisha Tate on Rogan's podcast? It's pretty good so far. "People watched to see if a titty would pop out". Cool quote from her regarding when she first started MMA.
I think I'd rather see Overeem in there opposite the Werdum/Miocic winner than Cain, should he beat Browne. I want to see Cain get back on track as much as the next guy, but I want him to prove he can stay healthy for any length of time.
Yeah, Overeem has a hell of a win streak right now (though so did Rothwell). I think this is about as clear as we can get for a number one contender in this division because they all beat each other (Rothwell > Overeem > JDS > Rothwell). In my personal opinion, Reem should not have lost to Rothwell, Bigfoot or Browne. They were all stupid losses on his part, but what are you going to do? He seems to have put it together now and definitely has a legitimate shot at beating Werdum and Miocic so I think it's his time.
Rewatching the Arlovski/Overeem fight and noticed something funny about the ending. Watching live I thought Arlovski was out, but this time I noticed right before the stoppage that he finally uncovers and throws an upward elbow. I think if he had done that sooner, the fight might not have been stopped. Not complaining about the stoppage at all, but I am glad to notice that Arlovski wasn't all the way out. I hate to see him take any more serious damage this late in his career after being KOed so many times.
Seems other people are saying Siver is out of the fight with BJ Penn now, as well... What is happening? Hope Brunson takes the fight and smashes Hall.
It's laughable how bad things are regarding injuries. Also, anyone watching Bellator this weekend? King Mo / Davis is pretty damn exciting if you ask me.
I loathe King Mo. Hoping Phil puts a whooping on him. Was more excited for Chandler/Thomson before it got scratched.
King Mo is a weird dude. Never been too sure whether to like him or not. haha. Overall, he's an intelligent dude and from what I hear, he is extremely dedicated when it comes to helping his teammates out. After his last fight in Japan, he flew all the way back with no sleep to corner a teammate at the UFC. But then at the same time, he'll come out and say the dumbest stuff or he'll be purposely hard to deal with. It's like he doesn't want to be liked, at times. Even when I met him years ago (while he was Strikeforce champ), he was super short with me and reluctantly took a picture with me, which sort of bummed me out. Then about an hour later, he saw me in the hotel lobby as we were both leaving and broke off from his group to come shake my hand and tell me to have a good night (the other guys in my group were confused as to why King Mo just approached us to shake our hands haha). It's like he's completely different depending on the time you catch him.
King Mo blocked me on Twitter a couple years ago, and I have no idea why. Held a petty grudge ever since lol
