I wonder if we’ve gone to any of the same shows. I don’t go down to OKC too often but every once and a while

 

The last show I went to in OKC was Holy Fawn in fall 2022 I think

 

Maybe! I think the last few shows I’ve been to at Tower were Motion City Soundtrack, Frank Turner, and Tigers Jaw/mewithoutYou. I only go to maybe 4 or 5 shows a year these days

 

Hmmm, I saw the Tigers Jaw/mewithoutYou show in Lawrence. I did see mewithoutYou/Pedro The Lion in OKC in summer 2019 I think.

It was a good show. I was mostly there for Wild Pink but I enjoyed the whole thing. I’ve only listened to Manning Fireworks twice and not any of MJ’s older stuff and was surprised with how jammy and spacey a lot of it was. I think they add that to their live show, because even Manning Fireworks songs had added jammy/spacey parts that weren’t in the album. Really cool. I kinda thought that MJ would be better at stage banter, especially with how funny and dry some of his lyrics are. If he doesn’t like stage banter, that’s cool and I’m glad he didn’t force anything, cause that’s annoying too.
