ghost of your guitar solo is okay. boat songs is elite. honestly his best output so far might be the live album.

I'd say i like the live album versions more than almost all the studio versions. so yea Live first imo

 

The Live album is absolutely the way to go. (And also the recent Wednesday album if you haven't heard that).

Rat Saw God is an immaculate record, rock is alive and well, the kids are alright, etc.

He plays on the first two Indigo De Souza records as well, people forget

 

Not me because when Indigo was touring opening for Frances Quinlan right before the pandemic MJ was playing in her band and he played a solo show the day before (with Karly in his band) at a house venue, where there must have been like 10-15 people max in attendance and I was front row. Seeing him blow up now is very cool.

 

rat saw god is absolutely essential listening. top 5 of the decade so far for me.
