I’ll take multiple theater dates over an arena show any day. Mitski is not an arena artist, even if she could sell enough tickets to fill one

 

The new album is really intimate and lush so I also understand that, in an arena-setting, might be tough putting together a show/production that supports it. THAT being said, yeah, she's probably a bigger ticket than Lorde at this point who she ironically opened for in 2018 on a mostly soft selling arena tour.

 

I get that for sure. It just would be nice if there was a happy medium between smaller few thousand capacity theaters and big arenas. You could go the route Phoebe went and play outdoor sheds but even then I guess you do lose some of the intimateness.

 

Yeah I struck out all 4 nights for Chicago. Clicked on tickets like 10 times each show before they all were sold out.

Jam Productions did a presale today and I was able to get 4 tix so easily (I was like 24th in line). Super happy!

Noooooo I did not know about the sale today and now it just has a countdown to tomorrow's general onsale so I'm guessing all the tickets are gone for today's presale?

 

Had a friend offer me an extra ticket for Toronto. If you’ve seen her recently, is the crowd the scream-singing type? Just had a Lana show ruined by that, it was bizarre.

Same thing with boygenius earlier this summer, the crowd screaming the lyrics to these lush songs was kinda off putting.

grabbed two, sitting pretty damn close. a lot more expensive than I was hoping but whatever I guess.

All that’s left are $217 platinum tickets so I’ll just grab one on resale and tickets that were cheaper up close are now all platinum and way more expensive, ridiculous

 

Just gonna fondly remember seeing her at a tiny venue for like $20 on the Puberty 2 tour for now.

I truly don’t understand why such an unmemorable song is so huge - it’s what Nobody deserved

Never got the love for that song honestly. Don’t like the hook at all. Think she does that sound better on…many other songs

Absolutely wild seeing her go from a 200 person capacity pub to 13k, the biggest indoor venue in the country, in Ireland of all places. That’s utterly wild. I think the tickets for her first show here cost €8. €65 for her show next year. Good for her.
