    Bury Me
    Puberty 2
    Be the Cowboy

are all equally good/“important” to her evolution so hard to say one is head and shoulders above the others as an intro record.

Lush is her weird music student era, Retired refined that
Bury Me is her sad singer songwriter era, Puberty 2 refined that
Cowboy is her indie pop era, Laurel Hell refined that
imo start with Bury Me but you can't go wrong with either of the next two

Bury Me is still my fave. I Don’t Smoke is just perfection.

Be The Cowboy is my favorite, Bury Me is probably the best introduction

I appreciate how stripped down this one is. Definitely like it more than the last one and it’s definitely going to be a grower. The last two songs are instantly my favorite Mitski tracks since BtC.

So, my webstore variant arrived today, but I kind of planned to make my indie variant my playing copy. Major first world problems, I know.

I needed money and canceled my big vinyl and merch pre-order two weeks ago. Feeling that FOMO now that it looks like the vinyl is arriving before the stream.

  11. I got an email today that mine was shipped so I should be getting it tomorrow or saturday

Definitely more subdued than Laurel Hell

Laurel Hell kinda missed the mark for me overall so I’m encouraged by the early response for The Land. I don’t usually avoid listening to singles on purpose for albums, but chose to cool it after listening to Bug and Star a couple times each so I’m ready for Mitski to wow me.

Didn’t even preorder this because I was so down on Laurel Hell. Just rectified that.

Yep. “The Deal” is the one or “I’m Your Man”

  24. Probably a bit too subdued for me, Buffalo Replaced is outstanding though

he’ll live forever in the sound of broken glass

Tried listening to it in the car this morning. I dont think it’s a driving record lol gonna check it out tonight in my living room, feels more like a dimly lit living room record.
