Spinning the record for the first time. It’s great so far, as expected. Surprised there’s not my hype around here.
I finally got around to listening to Bury Me At Makeout Creek last night and loved it. Can't wait to hear this one. And I need that vinyl
THIS! IS! THE! BEST! I'm so glad I only listened to "Geyser" pre-release. What an ALBUM!!!! also I was listening to it this morning on my walk from my parking garage to my office (abt 10 min) and right when the "I love you, I love you" part happened in "Pink in the Night" I saw a baby bunny and immediately burst into tears.
I just started but I love the vibe being slightly different, her voice and song writing really stand out. Puberty 2 felt like a lateral move at times from Makeout Creek, this feels like a progression
It finally started coming together for me today, but it's taken about five listens to do so. (I got my vinyl on Tuesday.) I loved certain tracks ("Old Friend," "Two Slow Dancers," "Me and My Husband"), but the whole thing really hit me this morning.
I don’t find the highs on this quite as exhilarating or moving as those on her past couple, but her songwriting here is by far the best it’s ever been.
Here’s the insane set list from last night if anyone’s interested Mitski Setlist at Gateway City Arts, Holyoke
