Why Didnt You Stop Me? might be my favorite on here. I love how it switches off between the guitar, the synth, and her vocals leading the song. I’ve been getting really hooked on this the last week beyond just initially thinking it was really great.
So cool for her she is just going to keep getting bigger. I can't really think of anyone who deserves this more.
blue light is one of her most beautiful songs two slow dancers is also one of her most beautiful songs that they are back to back on the album is unbearably good. be the cowboy is her best album.
Yeah I can’t believe there was ever a time where I didn’t think this was her best album. I repeatedly said it wasn’t as poignant as a lot of her previous stuff, and I rescind that in full; this is her saddest, most emotionally resonant and full album to date.
^oh shit hyyyyype can't wait to see her again Been returning to Bury Me at Makeout Creek lately, realized I'm now at a point in one of my relationships where I can really relate to Francis Forever, which was my gateway into Mitski and then all the other female artists I'm currently into. I know Be the Cowboy talks a lot about unrequited obsession, but as I listened to it when it first came out, I never thought that that could be me. I'm almost afraid of listening to it again, kind of like how I took a break from Bojack Horseman because it hits too close to home and makes me see things about myself I don't want to see, hah.
I'm seeing her tonight and I'm so unbelievably excited! It's going to be spectacular. It's my first time seeing her actually headline (I saw her at Pitchfork Fest and then opening for Lorde), and I just can't wait to see Be the Cowboy songs live while I dance like a fool.
