This is so excellent. But still prefer Puberty 2.

 

I think this is an overall better album than Puberty 2, but the high points on Puberty 2 (American Girl and Crushed Little Stars) are individually better than anything here.

 

It reminds me of the Smiths a ton

 

been meaning to listen to Mitski for a while now. should I start with this, Puberty 2, or Bury Me at Makeout Creek? or potentially a whole different thing?

 

Honestly I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the options you mentioned. Just depends if you’d rather go chronologically or work your way back. I started with Puberty 2 personally

 

This is the first record of hers where I feel I’m liking it as much as overall internet reaction likes it.

Mitski is one of my favorites to listen to on vinyl. Puberty 2 is for sure one of the records I've worn out the most, and I'm listening to Be the Cowboy for the first of I'm sure many times. I don't even know why but it just feels right.

It really feels like we are witnessing something special with Mitski and this album.

her shows for this tour are going to be amazing, i saw her album release show and got to see some of the dancing she's been incorporating into her performance, get out and see it!! very different than any previous show of hers i've seen

Yeah, looks like she’s wanting some more stage freedom for this tour. Should be sick. Wish this was coming somewhere nearer to me than Georgia.

 

She has such a stage presence this tour. It was very cool.

I finally watched that video breakdown of "Nobody" that I've been seeing on Genius for the past 2 months. Really cool to hear her sing it without the music and the explanation of the hook gives it so much more meaning
